Tony Volpon

Tony Volpon is an economist with deep expertise in global macroeconomics and a distinguished track record in both public and private sectors. He served as Deputy Governor for International Affairs at the Central Bank of Brazil from 2015 to 2016, where he played a central role in shaping Brazil’s monetary and macroeconomic policy during a period of significant economic transition.
Prior to his public service, Tony held senior roles in global financial institutions, including Chief Economist for Brazil at Nomura Securities, where he led Latin America macroeconomic research. He also held key research positions at ING and BankBoston, providing global investors with forward-looking insights into emerging markets.
Tony currently serves on the Advisory Board of Exante Data, contributing his deep understanding of Brazil’s political economy and global market dynamics.
